Annona aurantiaca "Araticum de Cabonho Verde" Seeds

Annona aurantiaca, also known as "Araticum de Cabonho Verde," is a rare and growing in a particular place; nativeindigenous species found in the cerrado and caatingas regions of Brazil, specifically in the states of Minas Gerais (north), Tocantins, and Maranhão.

The tree can grow up to 4 meters high, with a gray trunk measuring between 10 and 20 cm in diameter. The young branches are covered with whitish hairs, and the leaves are broadly wider at the base than at the midpoint; tapering toward apex. Length:Width ratio of 2:1ovate with an orange stalk that joins a leaf to a stempetiole measuring 0.5 to 1 cm long and a white hairy coveringindument. The leaf blade measures from 6 to 11 cm long and 3 to 6 cm wide, with a cuneate base and the highest point or vertex of a plant stemapexed tip. The leaves' distinctive feature is the hairy and whitish back. The flowers are yellowish, originating from the axilaxillary, and helix-shaped, with three thick greenish-yellow petals and glandular structures that secrete nectarnectaries located at the base of the petals.

The fruits are made of multiple carpels - sectionedsyncarpous, with light yellow colored bark with angular or rounded tips. The ripe fruit is round or resembling an eggovoid, measuring 7 to 8 cm long and 4 to 6 cm wide, with a long stem or handle measuring 2.5 to 4.5 cm long and greenish in color. The fruit has a sweet and delicious pulp that easily releases from the seed, making it perfect for fresh consumption.
